RFID HF Tags
We specialize in durable tags for use in harsh environments including exposure to water, chemicals and extreme heat or cold. Durable tags offer the lowest cost solution in industrial applications because they are reusable.
RFID tags for closed loop systems are long-lived components of the system and are not comparable to tags used in retail distribution/logistics in almost any way. HF tags cost many times more than UHF tags. However, HF tags are constructed to survive many thousands, even millions of reads and re-writes over many years of use, whereas UHF tags are more like barcodes, that are read once or twice and then discarded.
HF tags from Fotel are available to operate in extreme environments and can withstand water and solvent wash down, high heat and rough handling. Over its lifetime the cost-per-read of HF tags is substantially less than UHF tags.

RFID HF Antennas / Controllers
Most of our installations have utilized integrated controller configuration. This enables us to "harden" the reader-antenna connectivity which is essential when the read occurs in a harsh environment. Many closed loop installations use integrated reader-antenna configurations. This greatly simplifies the installation and saves space. This also enables us to harden the connectivity which is essential in extreme environments, for example machining operations or paint bays.
